Getting started

What is Dhundhlo?

Dhundhlo puts your city’s shops in one place. Search for products the way you talk (“sasta joota under 1500”), browse by category, read reviews from neighbours, then call, WhatsApp, or navigate to the shop’s door — all from one page.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Completely free for shoppers — and browsing needs no account. You only sign in to save shops, write reviews, or list your own dukaan. Listing a shop is free too.

Which city does Dhundhlo cover? What if I'm not in Pirmahal?

We’re launching in Pirmahal (Toba Tek Singh, Punjab) and covering it deeply — shop by shop — first. But Dhundhlo is built for all of Pakistan. Shopkeepers anywhere can list right now — if your city isn’t live yet, your shop joins the founding list and goes live the moment Dhundhlo reaches it. And shoppers anywhere are welcome — tell us your city and you help decide where we open next. Wherever you are, you belong here.

Searching & finding shops

How do I search? Does Roman Urdu work?

Type it the way you’d say it — “dawai”, “kapray”, “biryani 500 tak”. Roman Urdu, English, typos, and budgets (“under 1500”) are all understood. Results show real products with prices from shops in your city.

How do directions work?

Every shop page has a Directions button. Allow location access and you’ll get turn-by-turn navigation to the shop’s pinned door — not just its street.

Can I see only shops that are open right now?

Yes — Open now lists exactly that, using each shop’s posted timings. Also handy: Deals & offers, Top rated, and New on Dhundhlo.

What do the badges on shops mean?

Verified (green) = a real person from Dhundhlo confirmed the shop — its name, location, and owner. Featured (gold) = shops we’re currently highlighting across the site. Both are assigned by us — they can’t be bought or self-assigned.

Reviews & saved shops

How do I write a review?

Open the shop’s page → Write a review. You’ll need to sign in (so every review is from a real person). One review per shop per person — submitting again updates your earlier review.

Can I edit or delete my review?

Yes. Re-submitting from the shop page edits it in place, and the delete option is next to your own review. Reviews that break the rules (abuse, spam, fake) are removed by our moderation.

How do saved shops work?

Tap the bookmark on any shop to save it. Your collection lives in My Activity → Saved, along with your browsing and search history (which you can clear any time).

For shopkeepers

How do I list my shop?

Go to Register your shop, sign in, and follow the five steps: name & category, timings, location pin, photos, products. About ten minutes, entirely from your phone, free. Full guide here.

How do I add products, prices, and offers?

Everything lives in your owner dashboard: add or edit products (with photos and prices), mark items out of stock, and post deals & offers that appear on the city’s offers page instantly.

How do I get the Verified badge?

Keep your shop details accurate and complete. We verify shops personally — usually after a visit or a direct confirmation with the owner. Verified shops show the green badge everywhere and rank higher in results. There’s no fee.

What's the free starter website?

During registration you can opt into a free one-page website at yourshop.dhundhlo.com, generated from your Dhundhlo listing and powered by our hosting partner Hostzeal. Upgrade options exist, but the starter site is free.

Can I see how my shop is doing?

Yes — your dashboard’s Analytics tab shows shop views, calls, WhatsApp taps, and direction requests, updated live. No spreadsheets needed.

The Dhundhlo app

Is there an app?

Dhundhlo installs straight from the browser — no app store needed. On Android (Chrome), tap the Install banner or menu → “Add to Home screen”. On iPhone (Safari): Share → “Add to Home Screen”. It opens full-screen like a normal app and recently-viewed shops work even offline.
